4 Ways to Get that Special Someone
I know that getting the one guy or girl that you've been thinking about to notice you can be a little nerve racking and scary, but don't let that stop you from getting the one you truly want. I have had my friends and family ask me about the best way to get someone's attention, it seems as though I'm the almighty love doctor. I have suggested these 4 ways countless times. These 4 ways on getting that special someone's attention should be used in different situations. Examples will be given.
Four Ways to Get That Special Someone's Attention:
1. Talk to the best friend. I know this might sound like you're just using someone, but trust me it pays off. You want to do this because they're the one that knows the most about the one you like. This should be used by the people who are too nervous to talk to the actual person. The best friend is a good resource and once you trust the best friend enough you can tell him or her that you like the guy or girl. Once the best friend hears this it usually all "clicks". They see that you want them to help you or talk good about you to see if that sparks anything within the guy or girl. If something does happen then get to know your crush. See what he or she likes, what he or she hates, etc. Once you guys get to know each other and become closer, friendship will turn into more. I told the exact same thing to my best friend, Rachel. She ended up going out with the guy for 5 months. The one thing you don't want to do is get too pushy. That always backfires.
2. Don't talk to him or her. This is one of those situations where you think that your crush likes you, but you're not for sure. I used this one. This is a tough one and is to only be used when you think that your crush likes you. I know this will be extremely hard to do especially if you really like the person. Don't worry it won't hurt you in the end. You get the answer to the question: "Does he or she like me back?" and in the end you can still be friends if you choose. You can even tell him or he
r the truth. I must say though, that this one is tricky and doesn't always work. I have had this one fail twice. Don't worry though because if it does fail you can always talk to the best friend!
3. Just be friends. Act like you don't like him or her and just be friends, for the time being that is. You get to know your crush and the crush gets to know you so it's a win win situation. You also get to decide if you really liked the person or if you just thought he or she was cute. By just being friends you can get their number, hang out with them, have fun together. DON'T be afraid to go a little bit out of your "comfort zone" and try new things and get yourself noticed by actually talking to him and becoming friends with him. I have noticed that this one works the most. It has worked for two of my guy friends, Mark & Chase. They like these two girls that were really pretty and nice and had a lot of friends and had a lot of guys that liked them. In the end, Mark and Chase were the two to get to hold the girls' hands. It was very cute I must say.
4. Tell him or her. This is the ultimate test of strengths, sort of. Just tell your crush your true feelings I know it might be scary, but in the end it might just have been worth it. The best way to do this is to call him or her if you have their number or to tell them at school. Just take him or her aside and say, "Hey, I like you and I don't want to put any pressure on ou or anything, but do you want to hang out sometime so we can get to know each other?". My best friend, Hannah said that and the guy ended up pulling her into an empty classroom to makeout with her. It was uber romantic! Make sure he or she knows that it's only as friends though if he accepts the invitation to hang out.
Just to let the guys know: We girls aren't as scary or mean as you may think we are. To tell the truth, most of us worry about being too mean. So just ask her.
