Love Is The Sweetest Feeling
Everybody experiences love. Everyone is loved and has been loved by friends, parents, sisters, brothers, and even pets. But when you say of romantic love, it is different. It is more intense and extremely overwhelming.
Love, as well as being loved, adds a new meaning to one’s life. People who keep a close circle of friends, or are involve with someone romantically are generally healthy and happy. Love has its uniquely special way of making one feels understood, secure, and important. Moreover, love carry out varied levels of intensity and feel. The love you feel towards your parents is different from what you have for your siblings or friends. And the love you have for your romantic partner is really unique on its own.
The ability to be “in love” begins to develop during puberty stage or adolescence. Do you remember when you were a teenager wherein you were confounded with mixed passionate emotions for the opposite sex? Whatever others perceived it to be, like puppy love, crush or admiration, well that was a start. Even with various cultures wherein people are not allowed to openly express and discuss their feelings, love is there. It is truly inevitable, and so much part of living, of growing up.
Love is such an exciting feeling. It even gets confusing at first. To develop such can be considered one’s romantic journey, a journey of a roller coaster ride of emotions, sometimes you are thrilled, other times you are overjoyed, or sometimes sad. After all, love does not at all guarantee all-the-time happiness. Love is a powerful, intense human emotion. It must be dealt with accordingly for it is not something that one can just easily discard. Because of its effect on human, and how it affects anything and everything that comes its way, love has always been a subject of interest. And so, some experts did spend their time in cultivating
information, as much as they can on the matter. Thus, they found out that love is composed of three qualities, such as attraction, closeness and commitment.
Attraction is sort of the “chemistry” thing between two people in love. It is more on the physical and even sexual aspects of the relationship. It is responsible for the desire to hold or to kiss the object of one’s affection. Similarly, attraction is the reason behind the “blush” and the nervousness one feels when the person he or she is attracted to is just nearby. Further along, as two people passed the courting stage, closeness takes the front seat. It is a bond that is developed as two people share their feelings and thoughts towards each other. Closeness is the special connection different from what these two people have for their friends. As couples feel this connection, each of them feels cared, supported, accepted and understood by their partner. And so, trust is a major component in the picture. And then comes, commitment. It is the decision or the “promise” to stick together through thick and thin, through both the smooth and bumpy ride of the relationship. In short, to stay committed to each other, exclusively. Commitment, a word feared by many men, and some women because they are not ready yet to impart their all to the relationship.
Love is highly delicate. It must be truly nurtured and well cared for, for it to last through the tests of time. Very much like friendship, love relationships are bound to fail if not given due attention and affection. However, there are cases where love ceased no matter how much both tried to save it. It happens all the time. Perhaps because both parties are better off without each other, or that they can grow and be better persons with someone else.
Love is a gamble, it means taking risks, taking chances. With love comes hurt. If you are ready to fall in love, then be ready to get hurt. When it comes to matters of the heart, nothing is more euphoric than being deeply and greatly in love.
